Bulbul Homestay
BULBUL-homestay is a lodge for travelers who seeks remote, quiet and natural environments. It is situated on the shores of the beautiful lake district Quissico, located just a short distance from the Indian ocean with its deserted beaches. All accommodations are built with local materials and overlook the turquoise waters of the lake. In our restaurant we serve meals and we will give you a taste of the local/Mozambican kitchen, but you are welcome to prepare yourself a small bite aswell. We won’t surprise you with changing low the and high season rates, our rates are year-round mildly priced. But above all, come and have a refreshing swim, pick a coconut, lay back and relax.
Activities
Bulbul-Homestay is located on the shores of a beautiful lake that offers great swimming and wind- kitesurf facilities. The lake is part of a lake district, and is connected to 3 other lakes. Explore the lakes in a kayak is a great experience. You may find yourself more a beach and sea lover? A 20 minutes walk thru the dunes, will get you to the Indian ocean. Apart from a fisherman, you will be alone on a long stretch of pristine beach. Beside the water activities, there are great hikes to be made along the shores of the lake and thru the dunes. These surrounding offers a great variety of birds, ideal for the bird watcher. A totally different thing is to go to Quissico, visit the market, and mingle in with the locals. Feel the African vibe!
