Distance 355 km – about 5.5 hours.
- Take the N1 direction Xai Xai (pronounced: shy shy)
- After Xai Xai it’s another 2 hours before you get to Quissico.
- Upon arriving in Quissico, continue on the road through the village until it leads you downhill again. On your left, you will pass by the hospital.
- Opposite the hospital on your right, you will see our BULBUL-backpackers sign.
- From here on you go down a sandy road which is only accessible by 4×4. Follow the blue arrows, and in approximately 20 minutes you will reach BULBUL-backpackers.
- Our gates close at 18:00 hour, please make sure to arrive in time!
Arriving from the north (Inhambane).
Distance 145 km – about 2 hours drive.

- Within a 2 hour drive you will reach Quissico.
- Just after the sign QUISSICO and opposite the hospital, you will see our BULBUL-backpackers sign on your left. Turn left here.
- From here on you go down a sandy road which is only accessible by 4×4. Follow the blue arrows, and in approximately 20 minutes you will reach BULBUL-backpackers.
- Our gates close at 18:00 hour, please make sure to arrive in time!
